The art in Piedmont
The Piedmont offers the visitor a wealth of works of art (castles, palaces, churches, abbeys ...). In this region the most flourishing period of art is the Baroque, in which art is strongly influenced by the rise of the Savoy court.
Today, the Piedmont, and especially its capital, Turin Represents an important landmark in the Italian and international contemporary art scene.
The Piedmont is home to monuments that are part of the world's' UNESCO:
